@@AccentOnCars m5 is a legend. And much better and engaging car to drive with a much better handling. Also the transmission on the amg is as slow as it gets.

Ok, I get it you’re making this comment without watching the video in full. Transmission in E55 was slow. The E63 transmission is faster than SMG in M5 or manual in this specific car. I don’t disagree with you though 😀

@@AccentOnCars smg shifts pretty quick in manual mode too, it’s just too aggressive but fun. Until the latest amg’s all of their transitions sucked)

Frankly, I think even the latest AMG transmissions are not as fast and precise as the ZF in M5. Mercedes doesn’t outsource their transmission development like BMW does, which always mean reliable and fast enough transmissions, but not as fast as ZF in M5 or PDK.

For longevity Yes. And plenty fast too. But these are the big daddy models in the lineup.

Man, I was the same way. I drove it like a grandma till I replaced them bolts. I think you should Not be worried and enjoy it, but I know you will because internet has made you worried 😂 If you are planning on DIY the bolts, I have detailed DIY video. Check it out

My w212 had aluminum trim. Touching it would give me goosebumps; unpleasant feeling. I love carbon fiber and would better. Or carbon fiber + polished chrome (as in Audis).

Yes, same 🫣 But if I had found one with issues resolved from someone I trusted, I would have felt a lot more comfortable buying m5.

I read a lot of negative reviews about that car now that the initial excitement has gone down. Apparently they are not selling well and dealer markups is one of the reasons, but people also indicate it didn’t live up to expectations. Looks great imho

No, it didn’t come with the car. There are adapters you can buy and install to enable carplay. You’ll need to remove the unit and plug from behind. You can also buy standalone units like in this video ruclips.net/video/VACVBYa8dtM/видео.html

Sorry to hear about that. It’s really hard to say with 100% certainty without diagnosis, but some generic suggestions are: - service the transmission fluid and filter. Inspect the fluid for any metallic shavings - have latest transmission control unit software version installed and calibrated

Most likely it’s one of the issues I talked about in the video. 2-1 can be a bit rough at times but clunking is not a good sign.

Something interesting, I have a 2005 CLK 55 AMG Coupe and my mom has a 2005 Toyota 4-Runner Sport Edition with the 4.7L V8. Well, I have been able to drive both the CLK 55 and the 4-Runner plenty enough to compare both engines and came to a crazy conclusion that the 4-Runner's 4.7L iForce V8 was neck and neck right beside my fancy AMG built N/A 5.4L(5.5L) V8 in smoothness, power delivery characteristics(Perhaps a littler peakier than the AMG), performance and durability/reliability. My AMG 5.4L had more torque and more power obviously but it blows my mind that Toyota was able to create such an amazing engine. Not to mention at 1/4 of the cost! Lexus used it and had involvement in it which shows. P.S. I know comparing a 4-Runner to a CLK is like apples to oranges. A more appropriate comparison would've been the 5.0L Mercedes M113 but I don't have one just laying around lol. Both the 4.7L iForce and the M113 Mercedes V8's are regarded as contenders for most reliable engines ever built. When you drive both of them back to back you start to realize what a "Good" engine feels like.

@@ftffighter the 2UZ FE it is an old and reliable engine, nothing special but very reliable, heavy, not a fuel saving engine, no forged crankshaft, The m156 a part for the reliability is a complete different engine double timing chain, forged crankshaft, forged rods, in the minimum configuration, variable valve timing, variable intake length, and this is only a small part, the m159 is the best V8 engine ever produced from Mercedes- amg

The new N/A V8 engines in the Lexus is like a fresh gasp of air in the days of electrification, and remind me of the older AMG engines in nature. Unfortunately they’re paired with sloppy transmissions though.
